Leap Day dinner Trelio's (Clovis Ca.): Young and tight at first, but surprisingly gained and blossomed beautifully throughout the evening! SO SO pretty cherry spice, red licorice, tar, dried flower florals...med bodied exotic red berried fruits...tight in structure, reserved power, yet elegant and silky smooth. Will be an intoxicating wine with more years on it! +pts

Tasted as part of a 2015 Wasserman Burgundy tasting. The nose was layered with red fruit and baking spices. Very young and expressive with red cherry and tea notes on the palate. The finish on this was long and profound. This wine showed well. I hope to find some bottles to see how time works on some of the mild angularity. Already a beautiful wine.

Thursday Cellar Visits in Burgundy - Lafarge, Lamarche, Château De La Tour and Dublère (Cote d'Or): Barrel tasting at the domaine. Same bright red flavors and aromas across the board. Powerful with lots of texture nuance already. Excellent potential here. This is usually my personal favorite of the lineup, and that holds true in 2015 again.
