ripe dark plum, dense and rich, intense spices and Christmas cake, full body, firm tannins, tight-knit, concentrated texture, many savoury flavours. long finish with mocha and dark chocolate notes. need more time to integrate more.

Very slow to open up. American oak is starting intergrate. Wonderful nose of cassis, oak, blackberry and other black fruits. Finish isn’t as long as the 09’ or 94’, and seems closed for business compared to the older vintages. Huge whack of tannin! Still a very beautiful wine. One to put down for a min 10 years before opening (or decant several hours before drinking) 95

Double decanted, blind tasted among some 10 - 13 year old very good commercial grade shiraz's. Waaay too young, but for all tasters, it had a certain edge that raised an eyebrow... Absolutely showed its pedigree, even though still a foal. Give it 25 years from vintage, then we will see the true beast.

Very pleasing and not particularly interesting. Glad to have tried it, won’t make a habit of buying it.
