Nose reveals coffee grinds, umami, truffle, and marmalade. Medium bodied with good density and purity revealing slightly bitter marmalade and orangey notes - quite delicious and real sense of harmony. For some reason on my handwritten TN I wrote "try with creamy cheese"!

Complex aromatics of apricot, honey, preserved peaches, toffee and lavender. It is full and luscious in the mouth, with the perfect amount of sweetness, countered by some tertiary notes. It is layered and long, with real freshness after every sip. A joy to drink.

Second Sunday Group: 2014 v 2015 Bordeaux (Barb's): Courtesy of N, from his cold cellar. Light color- looks as if it could have only recently been bottled. Notes of pineapple, orange zest and tropical fruit. Tropical fruit and pineapple dominates the palate. Wonderfully fresh and pure with an abundance of fruit. A gorgeous bottle. Thank you N.

Hommage a DryCab - Washington Wines release; 5/3/2018-5/5/2018 (Various spots in Walla Walla): Really nice wine that was unfairly paired next to D'Yquem which always seems to be in a different league of wine. Surprisingly more young than I would have expected. Very fresh. Orange blossoms. The sweetness did a nice job on cutting a touch of the hot that existed in the foie. Well done.
