Amazing wine. Still in great shape. Enjoyed for my dad's 80th bday. A great wine for a milestone. We enjoyed over 2 nights - the first night before the meal and the second night with dessert.

So how much longer will this last? 30 years? Seems immortal based on this bottle. Still young and vigorous; never would have guessed this to be a 37. Delicious burnt orange peel notes. A little monolithic, not quite the complexity of a d'Yquem but so, so nice. A great level of botrytis here. Just so eminently drinkable; complex, balanced, long. Thanks Brad!

Oldest wine I have tasted by a wide margin. Remarkably fresh. Kept going back to it. Nose was dill to me but palate was more tropical. There was almost a crystalized sugar quality to the wine... fantastic!

Charity Auction Dinner with Ancient French Rarities--1924 to 1979 (RN 74, San Francisco): Essentially same color as the 1924. Very different nose with high toned perfume, honey and tropical fruit. Heavier, more viscous and relatively bitter compared to the older wine. Acidity not quite as enlivening. Not bad by any means, but not nearly as harmonious as the older, non-botrytised wine. While the botrytis adds aromatic complexity and lift, the trade off is that it also introduces some harshness. At the end of its life, in contrast to its older sibling that is still going strong as it approaches its tenth decade.
