Very fresh, rich and round fruit, lots of honey notes, my first impression is that it could have used a bit more acidity to balance it out -- but as it warmed in the glass and opened up, it really started to come together nicely and was showing at its best by the last glass. Drank side-by-side with 89' Ramonet Morgeot, which I slightly preferred -- the Leflaive was a richer and arguably a more intellectual wine, but the Morgeot showed more energy thanks to lively acidity and was a wine I'd be happy to drink every day.

From a perfect bottle, thia wine had a deep yellow center and clear rims. The medium intensity nose took 6 hours in a decenter to fully develop. It put forth vanilla pudding, lemons, white stone, and apples.
In the mouth, this had richness but modest complexity and length for many hours. Finally, the wine developed substantially more structure and complexity. At this point it had very good length.
Even after it developed, this was overall a balance, integrated, and refined wine. It had lovely a white stone essence supported by fully integrated acidity. This wine will certainly not get any better but should last 5-10 years if stored like this bottle. Enjoy!

Mature and Maturing Bordeaux (Oslo): Some nuts, cellaring aromas, sea weed; some butter, develops in the glass, lacks a bit in complexity for being a truly great bottle.

Second La Paulee Warmup Dinner (Corton - New York NY): Super ripe aromas and flavors. Sweet and powerful, but to me this was slightly one dimensional.
