  Such a lovely wine drunk at its mature apogee. So ethereal in texture and still showing some crunchy cherry fruit with notes of underbrush and spices. Really satisfying on the finish with just a perfect complexity and lightness of being. A revelation!

  6 of 12 …. Bottle 1885/3458 … Decanted @ 5:00 served @ 8:30. Now fully mature, this was not as intensely aromatic as my last bottle a few years ago. Still shows fresh red fruit, spice and some earthy notes. Very fine tannins add some texture to the fruit, nice acidity, perfectly balanced with a silky elegant texture and persistent finish. These should drink well for the next 5-10 years.

  (Bottle 1753/3458) #5 of 12. Double decanted at 4:00, as soon as I pulled the cork I knew we were in for an aromatic treat. Packed with fresh red fruit and spice notes. Three hours later we poured our first glasses and the SLB was by far the most open and ready to go. Layers of bright red fruit and spice, well framed by acidity and fine tannins. The most weightless and joyous wine of the flight, I could drink this all night.

  Fresh and floral, perhaps just lacking that leroy perfume. Precise and sweet on the palate with medium finish. It should be consumed sooner than later.
