surprisingly saw Coleraine on the AirNZ inflight wine list (business class), tasted pretty well in cabin environment above 30k+ feet altitude. well estructured, smooth fine grained tannins, a little firm, all balanced, full of energy, running very long. seems a early matured vintage?

Reminiscent of left bank Bordeaux in a ripe year. Very enjoyable after 15 mins sitting in the glass. (EDIT following 2nd bottle -- would recommend 60 mins in the glass or a decant). Superb with a few slivers of hard cheese (e.g. parmesan). I was not expected much after looking at Vivino reviews but pleasantly surprised. Drink now or hold.

A pretty Bordeaux-like bouquet showing mixed berries, earth, leather, pepper and fresh herbs. Soft texture with decent tension on the palate. First time having this, highly enjoyable wine perfectly suited for social drinking.

Great wine. Smells expensive, if you know what I mean. Expensive oak vanilla biscuits - red berries going darker with time, herbs and spices. Florals on the nose. But the oak is pretty heavily laid on. Great length. Balanced. More complexity to come but pretty delicious to drink now.

Don’t know why I liked this at release. Quite sour now and a bit eggy.
