  Was sitting on this one for a while. Thought it would be a nice ending to an outdoor August night dinner. As luck would have it another guest brought carrot cake and they made for the pairing of the night. The raisined core nutty finish of the Vin Santo played really well with the raisins in the cake as well as the carrot. The wine itself was solid, straigtforward enjoyable dessert wine. I don't have a lot of experience with Vin Santo, but if this is the entry level I'd like to try more.

  Uma cor ambra com reflexos dourados. No nariz nao impressiona quanto na boca. É no paladar que ele se apresenta com a elegância, untosidade, um gosto de casca de laranja, amêndoas, mel. Muito saboroso e longo muito longo.

  Too sweet, low acid, almost oxidiced, almost cooked. Has it been too long in the light in the store before it was bought?

  Aniversário 2007; 7/16/2007-7/20/2007: NM. Dourado escuro, quase âmbar, com sedimentos finos. Aroma inicial com marcantes notas oxidativas, acompanhadas de mel e frutas secas. Alta acidez, média concentração de fruta e untuosidade. Boa persistência, final agradável com amargor bastante presente. Ruim com o bolo de chocolate, ótimo com os queijos e perfeito com os cantucci. Excelente.
