Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • The wine is clear and bright with a deep amber colour and presence of dense slow-falling legs. The nose is clean and fully developed, showing pronounced intensity aromas of raisins, prunes, figs, caramel, coffee and almonds. The wine is medium-sweet in the mouth with a medium+ acidity. It has low soft tannins and a high spirity alcohol. It has a full body and pronounced intensity flavours of prunes, figs, caramel, coffee and almonds. The finish is long.

It is an outstanding quality wine with a decent complexity provided by maturity notes such as caramel, coffee and almonds. It has a nice balance between alcohol and its great flavour concentration, and the finish is lingering. It shows clearly the typicity of a vin santo. Can drink now, but it has enough acidity and flavour concentration to be kept for 7-10 years, although it is unlikely to develop more complexity.
