Animal, feral, and candied fruit wrapped under a beam of bright acidity. I thought it was an Dujac in blind. Very transparent and precise. Great for a village wine especially for a 2000. 91-92

Lunch with Andre. Holding well, fragrant, red-fruited and complex. Promises a bit more than it delivers, alcohol is in the foreground, and palate is disjointed. Drink up.

Very well integrated at this point, properly mature. Nothing sticking out - calm, light predominantly red and some black fruits, hint of ripe strawberries, a bit of earthiness, no barnyard. Silky and flowing in the mouth. Loved the overall quality feel about it. My only complaint - it could have been more complex, this wasn't a wine to talk about much.

There some barnyard smells coupled with camphor, pine needle sap and cherries. Although the wine has some vinous sweetness the bret has stripped much of the flesh from this wine’s minerally bones and you are left with something that is musky, clenched and pretty tough going.
