A beautiful and food friendly wine. Perhaps less evocative of the classic Cote Rotie than other vintages, e.g., 2012, but nonetheless great to own and a fabulous QPR.

Popped-decanted-and poured. Black cherry, black pepper, smoked bacon with roasted meat and fresh herbs. Started off fairly tannic, this wonderfully softened within 30 minutes, resulting in a long, seamless finish. This is an elegant charmer, good to enjoy through 2040.

This wine just does it for me. Easily one of my favorite cote roties. This has mellowed a bit since the last time I enjoyed a glass with much of the burnt rubber notes giving way to more floral notes.

Z's note nails it (as usual). It's a pretty wine, very easy to drink, but not really evocative of Syrah or Cote-Rotie. There's a lot of bright red fruit and lively acidity beneath, but none of the savoury or smoky depth I'd expect in a C-R.
