Meo crushed 08. The vintage adds such elegance to the wines and allows terroir to really shine. But it’s actually very Vosne-like with pretty sweet spice and floral aromatics. The palate is pure, focused and delineated with balanced acids and plenty of volume. Beautiful wine.

The bouquet started with slightly evolved tertiary notes of forest floor and herbs. With time fresh darker fruit notes mingle. Overall quite Nuits in Character, with earthiness and character. Should evolve nicely over the next decade.

What a beautiful wine - classic Boudots notes with some NSG furriness, Vosne spice, wonderfully ripe cherry and all conveyed in a luscious, creamy Meo style. Just great. Mature now, but lots of life ahead.

NSG Tasting - "North vs South" Almost universally was the WOTN at this tasting. Such a gorgeous and interesting nose. Elegant, polished, beautiful balance on the palate. Very Vosne in style. Given the price of Meo's 1er Crus in Vosne, this is a good one to seek out. Along with Cathiard my favorites of the tasting. A touch of earth and savory notes to even out the soft dark fruits and a hint of spice. Terrific.
