An ebullient spicy/smoky nose that is laden with ripe red berry fruits. It is full and accessible, with plenty of flesh and some ironstone lurking just below the surface. It has good depth and volume and the finish fans out, leaving a calling card of earth and spice.

Nose: red fruits, bubble gum, spices, truffles, tea Notes: This is quite an intensive and complex wine. Very young but so promising, has amazing potential. Although I still couldn't appreciate the wine at such a young age it does show a change of style (or maybe it's the vintage also) that it is quite approachable. Another 7-8 years of cellaring would be fantastic though. I think I will revisit this again in 2028-2030. Drink: 2030+ Rating: 92

Musique & Vin Pre-Concert Dégustation (Château du Clos de Vougeot): Walk around tasting. Plenty of black fruits throughout with some finessed spice of braised meat. At least as much "NSG" character as that from Vosne, this seems les accessible vs when tasted at the domaine spring 2017.

Shut down hard, hints of greatness but sleeping peacefully at the moment. Possibly 2027 and on.

Showing more red fruit than my last bottle. It is clearly more structured than the 2017 Murgers. Drinking well already for a young wine.
