Served blind against Brulees and Clos Vougeot, it was shocking on the reveal as this bested those esteemed wines. Most integrated at this stage, seamless and delicious. Super quality for a 1er, and the one to drink now while the other wines sleep.
I wonder if this had a less intense oak treatment and that's why it's drinking better than the others today, as oak certainly was an issue at this stage with 2010's.

Slow oxed for 4 hours. Deep nose with mocha, coffee beans and wild berries. Palate had fine structure with explosive berries and mocha note. It will certainly gain nuances in another 3-4 years. 93+

Birthday Celebration (State Street Manor & Racquet Club - Chicago IL): Walk around tasting, brief note from memory. Bright and wonderfully balanced with the sense of style typical of the best Méo-Camuzet wines. In its peak drinking window. Lots of nuance and finesse.

A very nice wine, perhaps a bit of bret at the end, but it was one of the two favorites of the dinner (along with the same wine from '05)
