Ruby color. Bold mix of red cherry, orange zest, forest notes on the nose. Dry, integrated acidity and supporting tannins frame up black cherry, sweet orange, spice notes in a long, layered finish.

Incredibly delicious and pure. The fruit is cool coastal, cinnamon-y, forest floor. So detailed and refined the flavors bounce between cola, sweet cherries, and baking spice! Cobb wines are stellar and a pinnacle of precise and pure flavors.

Charleston VI; 11/3/2021-11/7/2021 (Charleston, SC (various locations)): This was a producer that blew us away when we visited a few years ago. He's just making the style of Pinot that I like. Very precise and elegant and still with fruit (although the fruit was a bit more muted here). It's a hint almost unripe in it's restraint, but drinking nicely if very young.

Quick decant and was ready to go. So good! Just my speed… tart cherry, cranberry, great cut of acidity. Feels like we’ve being alternating great and ok bottles with Cobb. I keep thinking maybe I can stop buying but then I have a bottle like this and think I need to buy a lot more. Damn this hobby.
