Brick color, perfumed nose and nice notes of maturity on the nose. The acidity remains very prominent, fresh and lively. Stewed strawberries with smoke and balsamic. Not much body but plenty of depth of flavor with good persistence. Very enjoyable mature Burg.

Nice wine probably at or just past its peak. Ruby color an clear front to back. Nose of cherries lavender and wet decayed leaves. Medium plus body high acidity. Palate of cassis and raspberries with pronounced truffle/mushroom overtones. Long rustic finish still showing some tannins.

On the nose, the fruit in this wine was masked by a band aid like aroma which carried through on the palate completely ruining the wine for me. Not a bad bottle but not a good one either ;)

Sometimes a stinky wine gets away with the stink to reveal terroir and breadth and this was one of those. Full-on earthy, funky nose with mushrooms and fungus, like wandering into a old, dank, humid forest with mushrooms sprouting everywhere after a long rain... It smells evolved and sappy with plums in evidence. The palate is a delight: broad and generous with its leather and sap. Definitely on the tertiary development and no tannins to be seen but there is a lovely bright raspberry acidity which sings all the way through to a long, joyous finish.

Drop dead gorgeous nose; flamboyant, rustic and sauvage. On the palate, it is sweet and very Gevrey - delicious. Not a huge or broad wine, but beautifully linear and piercing.
