  • UH OH... just saw my note on the first (of 6) bottles and am now worried these will all taste the same, I had the exact same experience, decanted around noon for Easter dinner with the kids and this was just the same as my bottle last year, all acid / zero body or flavor... can a wine be totally shut down in year 28 of its life??... and condition seems perfect (fill good and no sign of seepage), on day three there is the very very very slightest of hints of flavor but otherwise this is acidity and water... bummer, but will admit I've really only had about a half dozen "spoiled" bottles out of the 5K bottle I've posted about on CT, so not a bad experience overall... still disappointing of course

  • I'm hoping this bottle was simply off, no common taint (at least that I can identify), but decanted this at 11am -- on pnp it was super acidity/closed (I thought closed), and then when I went to put it back in bottle at 5:30 to take to a dinner party it was at least as acidic and without any body... basically tasted like water and acid, no flavor at all, my wife doesn't drink reds but I had her try a sip and she said unsolicited "tastes like battery acid", had to pop a new / different bottle for the dinner

  • Boston Wine + Poker, Salem, Mass.: Tasted blind. Very clearly a pinot noir, light weight, moderate+ acidity, graphite aroma and some spiciness

  • Very good, just hitting its stride, despite a hint of brown on the rim. Red cherries with beef broth, green peppercorns, leather and earth, with some menthol and spices on the nose. Layered and sappy. Excellent graphite and black tea infused finish, vibrant and long. Could improve, but tonight 92-93 pts, very nice, tres Bourgogne.

  • This is a fabulous bottle, my first in 7 years. Back in 2016, I thought this needed drinking. Got that wrong - this is the best bottle of the case so far. Beautiful red ruby color is followed by a nose filled with mature pinot fruit, minerals, mint and fall leaves. Complex, weightless yet filled with flavor. Lovely finish. A perfect roast chicken wine. Just super. (93)
