Pale lemon, no viscosity but a little weight to the swirl. Riple yellow fruit, apricot, caramel, medium body, round, shirt finish with a bit on mint; citrus and white blossoms. Bit of toast, caramel, some anise as well, medium acidity, enjoyed this vintage a lot more than previous.

During a Germany/Austria tasting dinner with a few French friends. Unlike in a recent Napa Cabernet evening where we walked away disappointed with the expensive but unimpressive, sweetish wines, this evening was a big revelation. The Rieslings showed very well as expected but the big surprise was the high quality of the German Pinots. TN: A lovely, herbal wine with grass, goosberry, white pepper. A bit like a Sauvignon Blanc with more herbs.

Perfect balance. Fat ripe apple set off by lime. Medium length. A real pleasure.
