I was really ready to like this wine. I visited Austria recently and had some really great wine experiences and Grûner Veltliner is a particularly trendy grape these days. The wine was certainly not "bad" but it lacked the zing and zest that I associate with Grûner. Good, but not much more. thedrunkencyclist.com

An excellent version. I don't often go for white wine anymore. I used to love Cali Chardonnay in the summer months, but my palate gradually shifted to the clean, crisp, wonderully acidic old world styles. This bottle is a prime example of everything that is right with these old styles. Tropical fruits in the nose and on the palate give way to a pleasant lingering finish that begs for just one more sip. Very food friendly, a wine to share with good company.

Lovely grapefruit, lime and hint of white pepper. Some honey and maybe tropical fruits too. Good depth and body, decent acidity. Very clean medium length finish. Outstanding QPR, especially at offer prices. Possibly about its peak but no desperate hurry either.

I thought that I waited too long to open this wine. Forgot that I had it. But to my surprise, it is still clean, crisp & dry. Pleasant.
