  Cool wine. Dark gold, hint of brown but certainly not past its peak. Full bodied with an oily texture. Yellow apple, hazelnut and petrol right out the bottle - with weight of a white Rhone, dry Auslese and chamomile- apple of Chenin. After 20 minutes the petrol note blew off and the wine had more of the classic white burgundy notes, but with a wild richness. Drink it slowly and watch it evolve.

  privilege to drink 1993 Vogue Musigny Blanc, 1993 is the last vintage of Musigny Blanc, and only 75 cases were made. From 1994-2014, the Chardonnay from Musigny plot were downgraded to Bourgogne Blanc. Musigny Blanc has the ‘wow factor’ that the Vogue Bourgogne Blanc 1999 doesn’t quite have. Richer and more focused with notes of nuts, rich minerals of ratafia, dried white flowers. Fully mature with great ripeness. True Grand Cru class with purity and precision on the palate. Ex-Domaine bottle. (95/100)

  De Vogue Musigny White vs Red - A 1993 Tribute (The Square, London): An experience to say the least! ( Photo uploaded too). Good colour, shows the age , dark gold core. Glossy though, vibrant. The nose is full of nutty, hazelnut notes to start and as it developed int he glass it showed a few oxitative edges but the richness of the wine kept these in check. Mineral, and full of character, elegant and alive. A touch short on the finish. A bit of a marmite conundrum here (akin to Rhone Whites) , love it or hate it we would guess... We loved it 92-93
