  This pours medium to light ruby in the glass with no bricking. The nose is lovely and classical featuring crushed gravel, dark cherry, black currant, charcoal, burlap, peanut shells, bay leaf, lovely potpourri, and a touch of apple VA in the upper register. The palate is bright and fresh with black currant on entry, tannin is velvety and medium minus, with medium plus acid. The finish is quite modest in length, but shows a pleasant profile. All in all this is excellent and has clearly improved since release. Another Baudry classic that I think has plenty of life ahead.

  Really great. Pulled the cork and tasted at 5, let sit til drinking at 7. Beautiful nose showing very floral and also with dark fruit, gravel, and hints of cocoa. Day two even more harmonious but less pungent. So well balanced on the palate, perfect harmony of fruit, structure, and mineral elements and it’s just lip smacking delicious. Great now with a little air but lots of life ahead. Should have bought more….

  Profile similar to previous note. Acid and tannins have settled considerably; the palate remains fresh but better integrated. Interesting after three years. Drink or hold.

  Un beau vin pour accompagner un repas, leger, frais, un peu de poivron. Comme plusieurs le mentionne, c’est plus savory que fruite. Ma blonde n’a pas aime…

  From a small capped bottle as part of a zoom wine tasting. Nose strikes me as darker than the 2014 - blue-black fruits. Show polish and graphite along with tobacco. Again very perfumed with great balance and elegance. Black berry and currants. Palate is similar. Tiny dark berries, dark and earth, graphite. Almost inky. Finish shows tart dark fruits, tobacco and minerals. Nose - 5/6, Palate - 5/6, Finish 5/6, Finish - 1/2 = 16/20.
