Extremely well balanced but at the same time a archetypical barolo in style. A bit darker, some floral notes. Hibiscus? Lots of dark fruit. Some mellow licorice and a minty end

Appearance: Clear, medium ruby with slight brick rim. Nose: Clean, medium intensity aromas of red cherry, raspberry, violet, leather, and baking spice. Palate: Dry, high acidity, high tannins, full body, and medium+ alcohol. Pronounced flavors of red cherry, raspberry, leather, tobacco, and baking spice. The wine has a long finish and a complex structure. Quality: This is a very good wine with intense flavors, complexity, and a long finish. The high acidity and tannins suggest this wine has aging potential. Drinking window: This wine is approachable now but has potential for further aging. Should continue to improve over time.

Adorable.. very attractive floral nose. A stand out for sure. Gentle.. crushed dry roses... "hibiscus". The first time I have ever been able to make the distinction. Sour cherry, orange peel, tea, candy store finish (with the help of a few spins). A standard barolo profile. Subtle nuances by way of hibiscus and a whiff of "absinthe" in the distance.. (Menthol + licorice = absinthe).. I think absinthe is the perfect description here too. Total concentration, you just can't throw these puppies back!!

Tasted at South Beach Food and Wine Festival. Silly, soft mouthfeel and impeccable balance. Flavors of tart cherries with a touch of hibiscus. Well done and just beginning it’s drinking window. Very nice.
