Translucent pomegranate color. Very aromatic, black fruits, violet. On the palate, med+ body, med acidity, med+ and slight gripping tannins. Very well made! Glad that I have another bottle and will try after 5 years.

Al naso profondi profumi di frutti a bacca rossa e terziari splendidamente amalgamati. Al palato si ritrovano tutti i sapori portati dai profumi. Signorile, elegantissimo, con tannini di fine qualità, possenti ma velati ma ben equilibrati al resto. Grande struttura e corpo, equilibrio. Persistenza lunghissima. E pensare che è ancora giovanissimo. Spettacolare.

Ripe red cherry, espresso, rose, red hots, and a touch of quinine comprise the rich, impactful nose of the 2016 Ratti Rocche dell’ Annunziata. The tannin isn’t too punishing and the long, lingering finish offers promise. 93+?

Farge: Typiske nebbiolo med litt rubinpreg Duft. Tørr kjeller med noe mørk frukt i bakkant Smak: Kragftige tanniner, her er det mye å gå på. preg av surkirsebær med mere. Noe morken ved. Noe søtlig i ettersmaken.
DAG2 Duft: Hint av tørr jord Smak: Kraftige tanniner, begynner å rundes litt. Litt morken ved, surkirsebær og flere mørkerøde frukter. Nyansert og lang ettersmak. Fortsatt noe søtlig.
DAG3 Duft: hint av 'anilin' Smak: Svakere preg av morken ved og kursebær. Noe sølig i ettersmaken.
God, men jeg tror jeg holder meg til Conca, som allerede er bestilt.

Tasted at the Barolo and Barbaresco World Opening Tasting Event in NYC. Similar to the Conca cru, this was drinking almost too good for such a young Barolo. The nose was captivating but seemingly modern and barrique influenced but I was told this was aged in botte grande. Very soft texture and modest tannin and acidity. There were vanilla, chocolate, fresh berries and a moderately long finish. Seemed out of character with the vintage based on all the other 2016's I tasted today. But, that said it was quite delicious for drinking now and over the next 5-10 years while the rest of your Barolo sit the cellar!
