Field Mushrooms, leather, hints of black fruits. Tanins still somewhat there but becoming resolved. Touch of spice. In the drinking window now. I would recommend drinking up over the next few 3-5 years. I would also recommend a short decant 1-2 hours. Unreal wine. 96

Allowed three hours of slow oxidation in bottle. A rounded and polished Shiraz with ample dark fruits and tamed oak influences. Good weight and structure. Very ready and can keep for at least a decade.

(Blind tasting) Full, rich nose of black fruit, bramble, mint and oak. Massive, immediate but not multi-layred. Not very complex. Full body. Juicy and sweet impression. Vulgar and not elegant. Rich and luxurious. Blueberry, bramble, butter and oak integrated. Of course well-made Aussie style Shiraz, but I had hoped for more tertiary complexity and less sweet, sticky fruit.

2 years later and what a different view of this wine. For me this wine has gone past a point. The acidity has been lost. It makes the wine feel flaccid. A bit of a disappointment all round. I can only hope this is a one-off.

I really liked this wine. So balanced for a Barossa shiraz. Everything is hanging together nicely. Looking at my past notes,
