It sure packs a punch - initially cherry and blackberry fruit on the nose, but then smoky, leathery, and savoury as it opens up in the glass. It’s pure magic in the mouth like freshly ground black pepper on juicy cherries. Intense on the finish with lots of tobacco notes.
A decent whack of alcohol (14%) and loads of acidity, but it has the balance and concentration to carry it. It’ll get better with age but is pretty bloody delicious now.
