Color is clear straw with flecks of light green. Mineral and matchstick on the nose, along with lean lemon, mineral and grapefruit. There is also a note of toast. On the palate, the acidity is moderate and measured, merging nicely with minerals and salinity. Finishes with good length, nice tart minerals, dried lemon and lemon rind. The lingering finish is mouthwatering and has a subtle chewiness. An excellent food white that improved nicely in the glass.

NWS Sicily Tasting: Pale lemon colour, medium+ intensity nose of flint, minerality, smoke, lemon, lime, melon. Pronounced, rich palate adding apple flavours. High acid drives a steely, medium body. Long, elegant finish.

Mount Etna (Hinchcliff house, Young Street): Slightly meaty wild ferment notes and fresh herbs, a little citrus and stone fruit in support. Simple nose. slightly sour on the palate, touch of salinity, more citric here, slight hardness. Time to come together for me.
B&B lunch at Bar Cicheti. Bottle off the wine list to start. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Thin legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of citrus green lime, steely minerality, saline. Youthful. On the palate, dry, good high acidity, low alcohol (12%), medium body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of citrus green lime, steely minerality, salty saline, rich volcanic soil and spice. Medium+ finish. Very good quality. Lovely nose with more air, but palate tight and focused and not showing fully yet I suppose. Maybe another year or two for this.
