On day one just a lot of sweetness, which makes it kind of boring. On day three pretty tight, but energetic with cherry flavors and nice structure. This is not typical for Campogiovanni, but im not going to open another bottle for a while.

Not quite at the level of my first try, but nice nose with cherries, sweet licorice and spices. First really powerfull and a lot of sweet fruit before a wave of tannins takes over in a medium+ finish.

First bright red cherries, later black and sour cherries, raspberry, earth, espresso and asian spices on the complex nose. Really powerfull, but also juicy, dense and so balanced. Then the finish kicks in with a lot of tannins and structure, but also sweet fruit in the end. This is kind of a house wine for our family and we buy at least a case of 6 every year. This exceeds my expectations and is certainly better than 2017, at this stage. Its drinkable, but very young. Impressive.

Gambero Rosso Tasting (Doltone House, Sydney): Slight sour cherry, a little biscuit and sweet spice in support. Juicy, generous, fleshy fruit initially then a huge wave of tight, chalky tannins sweeps the fruit beach clean. Hmm.

The fruit behind seems a wee bit artificial, but plenty of sweetness for the punters.
