Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 87 points

  • Has a lot of bramble, black cherries, burnt tire/turpentine, and freshness on the nose. In the mouth, still very acidic although tannins do excellent work to balance the wine with a touch of sweetness. Fresh finish with decent aftertaste closes with a vaguely mushroom, musky tropical fruits, and pungent finish. +2 points from the original 85 because clearly this wine is well-made. Huge, good quality cork. Grapes are ripe and well processed. The only problem is that this variety, Magliocco is not really for everyone's palate.
