D3h. Dark red with little maturity, 5.5. Spicy bouquet but still in its primary maturity stage. Mellow tannins, packed with dark fruit. Long intense finish. Fine now but I still feel it can evolve more.

This is the only Magliocco (may-o-ko) on the market. This varietal was abandoned, almost, because it was very hard to work. But Paolo Librandi's father started to study it because it was there, 50 vines here, 100 vines there out of a 1,000. So everyone had a tiny little bit. Finally, it was realized that when its good, its god damn good. Thats my comment not Paolos.
SO now they plant a tiny amount on very high hills. And it produces tiny little berries that have very low yields.
15 days skin contact, barrique for 12 months, 12 in bottle.
Dark fruited on the nose but light. Shows italian tannin.
Its very interesting stuff but the price tag of nearly $40 makes me hesitate a little bit.

Very dark red, red rim, 6. Intense fruity almost jammy nose, spicy. Rather soft änd tasty, dark fruit, mellow tannins. Ok now but hopefully it will develop more notes later (4-6-yrs) then higher score
