  • A different wine tonight, based on Magliocco which is a rare grape present only in Calabria and that Librandi decided to take up again with help of modern vinification, Librandi is among the very few wineries that I appreciate in this region.

Opened 90 min in advance, served at 18° C.

    Color: Dark Ruby, medium legs
Nose: Spicy nose... oregano, pepper, liquorice... in time it gives place to a definite roasted coffee beans nose. Primary notes all gone by now. The wood is well integrated y now
Mouth: Medium acidity, low tannins, the alcoholic note is elegant and never preminent.

Interesting wine, perfect when you want to taste something different and yet very well crafted and with a good touch of elegance.

By now I am convinced that the presumed drinking window was a little wide. It's at peak now and probably have been for a year.
