  • Amber but showing plenty of green too (is this, like Port and Madeira, a sign of serious age?)

Immediately struck by the precision and purity here. Distinctly ‘mineral pools’, also a sort of weed-like perfume(!)

The palate carries this freshness, it isn’t dried out (far from it), there is a hint of Riesling-like kerosene, more pools and actually a vein of gingery richness. Medium+ weight, lots of marmalade and tangy lime… this is SO good!

On return, the ‘weed’ character has lessened but still plenty of pools. Can’t believe how fresh and pure this is… What a surprise!
