Bordeaux 2022 en Primeur and some recent vintages: A wine since the private equity takeover of Colony Capital in 2001 has often been too extracted and wood-driven. However, the 2022 felt very nice today. A new label (the old one) signals a return to a more classic style after the recent change of ownership in the 2022. Still a bit fuller than the other Margaux but supple and aromatic. A positive surprise. 94+

Deep in color, the wine is lush, concentrated, polished, full-bodied, and packed with toasty oak, black currants, blackberries, black cherries, espresso and cocoa. This is incredibly creamy, but it is also quite oaky, so it is not for the oak averse. If you let it age it a bit, the oak could become better integrated into the wine. Drink from 2027-2050. 92-94 Pts.

Bordeaux 2022 barrel samples and some additional vintages (Solliden in Stockhom): Incredible sweetish scent.
Only brief impression. Didn't have the time to take a detailed note.
The aftertaste is "perculiar" (according to my notes) and this wine certainly needs more development.
92-95

Dumb nose, very tannic palate, slightly warm. Very difficult to taste now, not entirely promising among a field of 2022s which are.
