Wonderful, and a great surprise considering the vintage. Beautifully clean with no funk on the palate, and soft tannins. Balanced, fruit-forward, with raspberry and oak, and a medium long finish. Elegant, with finesse and a great mouth feel.

Decent wine, not my favorite CM. The flavour evolution and structure suggests it should last for a long time yet, but I suspect this bottle was not stored perfectly.
Light garnet color, shading a clear brown at the edges.
Nose was a tart cherry upon opening but after leaving overnight evolved to a more candied cherry aroma, a little like a young brunello and less like Pinot. Also some bright floral notes.
Flavour more like what I expected. Tart cherry and violets, flinty minerality, just a little bitter and leather. High acid and quite high tannins as well. Medium body, and medium+ finish, with the floral notes lingering after the fruit dies away. Definitely deteriorated overnight.

1 hr plus decant. In such a great spot now, showing nicely evolved tannins and a dusty fruit with a little tang/bite at the finish. So elegant and good depth of fruit. While not showing much overall complexity other than the slight dusty tannins that are in a great place with the cherry notes.

Chambolle fruit-forward from an off-vintage. Great balance, with notes of raspberry and blackberry.
