Dark almost opaque with dark ruby rim. The nose is earthy with wet forest and black currant. Dark fruit, a bit light but beautiful peppery length. I felt the fruit died a little with time and I suggest to drink up.

Light, elegant Margaux, ready to drink, double decanted to remove a little sediment, contained a whiff of volatile acidity in combo with the typical Bordeaux garigue. Red and light black fruit with lightly toasted butter breadcrumbs, after 30 mins in the glass came white chocolate with praline filling, black pepper and thymn, a bit of old school stable smell.

2007 BC reveals one or two notches below 2005 and 2008 too : thick and rough, still, a little bit bitter at the palate, not so well integrated, with little red fruit left, almost mute, and faded tannins. Lacks pleasantness. In a long afternoon with PD agreeing

Visuel: grenat, intense et limpide
Olfactif: sous-bois, terre, cuir, fumée, tabac
Gustatif: demi sec, frais vif, ferme, plein étoffé, quelque peu anguleux, mais élégant et racé.

delicious - this has filled out in the intervening years - a more rounded wine although it is still no blockbuster
