@ Nougatine Jean-George’s NYC. This is literally in the perfect spot for Baby Muz (noted on the 15-20 year from vintage peak window for future reference). A seductive, Amoureuses-like nose with just enough darkness and spice to remind you this is indeed from the Musigny side. Ultra-fine tannins gripping like miniature sandpaper throughout the mouth. A lovely and measures secondary fruit dominates. What really made this one special was towards the final pours a new, reinvigorated bite of almost chili pepper spice emerges for a last bite - extremely exotic. I found this better than many younger Vogue VVs which probably just means these demand 25-30 years of bottle age to shine.

This is just an excellent wine, if the style is up your alley that is because it's unmistakably Vogue. Barley water, touch of malt, strawberry cake, ripe cherries, for such a powerful nose, it has a nicely refined palate with powdery tannins; a dialed back version of the Musigny but you can see the similarities here.

VR vs CM good producers (Shin Terrior): Blind, bright ruby in color, good fruits, touch of mint, orange peel, cherry, slight VA, violet, good freshness. Dense on the palate with touch bitterness on the finish. Tannins quite resolved. Not a fan of Vogue's wine but suppose it needs lots of age to show and this definitely showed well.

Vosne / Chambolle 1ers from good producers theme: Easy tell as the Vogüé (we did single blind). Nicely balanced with attractive dark red fruit, with some coffee notes. Guessed 2010 because of the purity of fruit.

(Comte Georges de Vogüé Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru) Medium colour. Fine and very complex aromatics - very lovely mix of fruit(s) and faint torrefaction. Intense, plenty of velvet tannin and great dimension in the mid-palate. The flavour lingers really well. I seem to ‘click’ with this in most vintages, and frankly, this is almost worth the price of entry, even at 185 swiss francs!
(Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru) Dark red violet color; big, spicy, red fruit, berry and oak spice nose; big, deep, juicy, tart cherry and mineral palate with structure and grip, but with a flavor profile more reminiscent of an elegant Chateauneuf du Pape than a typical 1er Cru Burgundy; medium-plus finish

Some bitterness at finish prevented this from higher rating.
