  • I had this together with La Vicalanda 1999, Muga Reserva 2004, Remelluri Reserva 2003
    and Solar de Samaniego 2001

This one was probably the only classical Rioja (rather bright red, gentle liquorice and
oak, as well as not too concentrated), but not for good. We had two bottles to try and both
were already dying. There were definitely better days for this one. Drink it now or there
won’t be much left in the coming years.
