Opened and poured with a medium garnet coloring, with a bit of bricking on the rim. Did not decant. It took about 15-20 minutes for some initial mustiness to fade and the wine to open. A profile of black fruits, mushrooms, some tar and sandalwood. Delicious. Will drink my last few bottles this summer!

Forest floor, black berries, black cherry, high acidity, eucalyptus, dust, mushroom, raspberry. Medium+ tannins, still grippy.

Ditto my 10/2011 notes. Perhaps it has faded ever so slightly, but remains a wonderful wine.
