Three cases bought from Hedges & Butler in 1976 and drunk through 80s into early 90s, always delicious and far better than the books would have it, of particular note was the bouquet which was enthralling with violet and lavender in addition, typically marked between 17 and 18.5/20, bet it's still ok if well cellared.

Still a lovely colour this Margaux shows meat, earth and pepper aromas on the nose. The palate is still fresh and lively with lovely black berry fruit and lively acidity. Long, smooth, mineral finish.

So good. Tastes fresh, cork fully soaked but came out clean.
Happy I have a few more of these. Going strong!
