  A little thin and fading, but still had pepper and leather and cherry notes that are quite tasty. Very nice finish.

  Nice nose, obviously past its best but very interesting to try. Slightly sweet, no length anymore and subdued tannins, but very tasty anyway.

  Mahogany more than ruby but not wholly there. Tobacco predominates. Cigar smoke. Figs. Still some mostly black fruit, some red. Earth and wood mushrooms. Has the line of austerity in it but not overwhelmingly. Tannins now well under control. Firm acidity. Decent length. Complex, A fine old claret, still very enjoyable. Very light sediment.
