  • On the nose, it has alluring floral and perfumey aromas. On the palate, it is noticeably sweeter than most other RSVs, with lively acidity and endless waves of red fruits, stems and spices. Quite an attention-seeking and sensational wine.

  • Bottle 1373/2046- Ultra-perfumed nose with flowers, red currant, stems and spice. Palate was sweet and deep with nutmeg coated red fruit sensation. Terrific.

  • Intoxicating leroy nose with sweet red currant, perfume, spice and potpourri. It opens up with layer and laser-focused intensity in the glass. Wonderful length and complexity with alluring sweetness. The wine keeps trying to impress you and boy, it does. 97-98

  • part of a big dinner, no notes taken. beautiful earth and spice, i thought the vintages fingerprints showed up on this with a touch of green-ness....for me it lent a nice complement of coolness to the fruit. my only bottle and I won't rebuy at these prices. 95-96

  • PNP into Zalto Burgundy glass (“Leaf” day): Pale, bright ruby with slightly copperish rim, with some very fine deposits.

Incredible spectrum of smoke-infused red berry fruits. Penetrating. Razor sharp focus.

What great level of concentration achieved in such a lightfooted package. Super minerality and acidity without any weight.

This is truely a great achievement indeed. 94-95 point to me.

2.5 hours upon opening: Superb minerality but getting richer indeed. Ethereal. To me this is perfect and awe-inspiring on technical details if not super emotional? 94-95 points.

(Domaine Leroy Romanée St. Vivant) Bricking, slightly cloudy red with pale meniscus; dried cherry and berry nose with a little VA; ripe berry and cherry palate with lime acidity, concentrated, tight yet, needs a few more years; 93+ pts.
