  • This wine is now dominated by the acids that kept it alive. Upon opening there was this smell of madeira, which blew off after an hour open. Then a rather lovely smell of old bordeaux with forest and sweet fruit. The taste was like the nose, but with the acids to the fore. Gaining some body during the night, masking the acidity somewhat. There's nothing special to this wine, except its age. Not scored, but 85 should do....
