  Red fruit, spices and black pepper aromas prelude to a very elegant, savory and medium bodied palate made up of red fruit and sweet tannins. This still has quite a long road ahead but it's already delicious.

  Another pre-Xmas Saturday Lunch (Cal Fuster (Serrateix)): Double decanted for 1 hour. Intense and expressive nose with both raspberries, black fruit, incense and ashes. Perhaps a bit too modern. It has a medium bodied palate with present tannins, earthy notes and a medium to short finish. I liked more a previous bottle, so maybe this one just needed more time or maybe just paled compared to the other flights. 89-91

  Bottle was previously opened for an hour and consumed over two more. Initially showed significant reduction - a decant would have benefit the wine - but it slowy opened, offering subtle red fruit and white pepper. On palate this wine carried a high acidity with a prominent metallic/mineral flavors and overall was elegant, smooth and a long finish.
