Thick, deep gold. Almost sweet on the palate. Mere hint of sauvignon bite on the palate. Could have been a pinot gris from Alsace. Suggests to me that these need to be drunk young.

Medium yellow/gold. Quite pronounced nose, complex, with tropical fruits, asparagus, citrus, floral hints and well integrated creamy oak. Good weight on the palate with attractive balancing crisp acidity. Impressive concentration with bright tropical fruits, some asparagus and citrus fruit with nicely integrated creamy oak on a good length finish. Excellent quality Sancerre, which unusually has seen some wood. Equally unusually it works! This wine is drinking now but will probably continue to develop over the next 2-3 years.
