At the chocolate end of the spectrum, but with loads of dark plum fruit and a hint of vanilla. Drinking beautifully now. Texture is often under appreciated and here it stars - silky, balanced delight. Wears its 15% alcohol so that you don’t notice it....

If you pnp it, you can strip paint with it. Decant it for several hours and it smooths out. Thankfully this was not an impulse drink. This was planned to go along with some very nice lamb chops. Thick black fruit on the palate. Tar & cedar on the nose. Beautiful, powerful new world style.

Appearance: clear, deep ruby, with legs and petillance
On nose : clean, medium+ intensity, ripe black fruit : plum, cherry, vanilla oak, soy source, black pepper, follow with clove, tobacco, leather, gammy, very complex, the wine is still developing.
On palate: dry, medium+ acidity, medium+ intensity flavour, high alcohol (15%), high but smooth tannin, full body, all aroma could be found on palate, with mineral, bitterness and a hint of savoury flavour. Full body and, elegant. One may find that the wine is from a hot but high region.
This is a premium one, one may find that is a shadow of "Grange", this can be aged for 5 more years without any doubt. Of course u may enjoy it now. A fabulous wine, but still u may distinguish from the old world elegance.

dirt mixed with berry on the nose, quite mineral on the palette and has a bitter after taste....

Decanted; followed over an hour or so. Great nose. Delicious, spicy, smooth Shiraz.
