Hosting GC from WB: Melon, corn, straw, almond and honey - definitely entering an aged zone. Clean and leaner on the palate, but the age is definitely starting to round out the edges here. Drink now and over the next couple of years.

Had this one at a comparative chardonnay tasting. It was the oldest wine in the line up. held up very well and I felt that unusually for an Australian Chardonnay, it has aged very well and is a very pleasant drink right now.
Yellow golden colour but still bright and clear. Nose fresh and fruity with lemon and freah peach. Palate very smooth and well balanced with a tongue coating viscousness that made it last and last.

Australia Wine Trip; 9/20/2009-9/21/2009 (Margaret River): White pungent flowers reminding me of viognier from Rhone. Pear fruits, grapefruits, lemon marmalade , lemon custard backed by bitter pith and smoky minerality. All this is framed by elegant oak and somewhat gives the impression of a puligny. A pity it is just a tad too high on the alc.
