  • PNP. Cork perfect. This has turned the corner since last time I tasted. becoming secondary and has mellowed on the structure front. i think that this is in the zone and will drink remaining bottles from this vintage near term. really delicious

  • Popped and poured. Ruby color. Funky nose of smoky plum, earth, fertilizer, pine forest, lilac. Relatively big-boned for the vintage with savory elements of dark plum, deep earth, cinnamon, and oolong tea. Oak notes crept in after 30 minutes and then left at the 2 hour mark as delicate strawberry flavors took over. Fresh acidity and serious tannin still evident. Long finish of earthy red fruit and rocky soil. Striking wine with a lot going on.

  • Incredibly spicy on the nose along with red fruit and a hint of earth. Translucent in the glass with a mix of red and tea colors - looks older than it tastes. II was concerned it might be too late, but the fruit was still fresh and bright. Also has a big dose of spice that matches the nose. Lean & lightweight on the palate, and bordering on being thin - really the first '07 I have had with that characteristic. Firm grip and a great food wine.

  • From memory...Fantastic stuff. Oregon funky, dried cranberry and forest floor. Wish I had more...

  • Dork night. Matt's wine. Was convinced on first whiff that it was another burgundy and much older than 07. Lovely baked cherry notes with satisfying earthiness, but it softens in the glass, perhaps a bit too much so, and isn't as fresh as the Sommers (storage differences?)
