This is in a great place at the moment. Double decanted and enjoyed this bottle over a relaxed dinner at home. Deeply evocative uplifting bouquet . Fully integrated flavor profile where the oak is no longer obvious in the foreground allowing the subtleties of earth, cherry, raspberries, five spice, cola and celery seed to emerge and build to a long satisfying finish.
New-world: Great restraint but still identifiable as a US Pinot with dark red cherry fruit. Guessed 2015/16 Oregon since it wasn’t too jammy, so didn't think Cali. Was quite earthy too so if it wasn’t a new-world night it would’ve been a tough call between US or Burgundy. Pleasurable and contemplative at the same time, in a good spot with some development.

Aged to perfection. Had it with the turkey. Probably won't get any better, but no hurry to drink up. Etherial Pinot nose and well balanced palate, but would not like to see any more ripeness. Cristom remains my favorite new world producer of Pinot Noir
