This was my first Grand Cru white Burgundy, and I'm afraid that it was rather heavily oxidised. I'm not sure if this is because of the infamous inconsistency of white Burgundies over the last decade or so, or if it was simply oxidised and/or left too late. Either way it was thin and sherry-like, with only a distance suggestion of the golden honeyed buttery richness I was expecting. Unfortunate.

Showing more spicy oak on the nose along with some custard apple and citrus fruits. It was just a little compact in the mouth and showed some fruit rind and nuttiness that led to a few of questioning whether it was slightly oxidised. Once again good drink but drinking below expectations.

Jadot Dinner with Marc Dupin (Knightsbridge - Northbrook IL): Lean fruit on nose with good floral component and good citrus aromas. Very elegant from start-to-finish with lemon, lemon peel supported by great minerality. While today I preferred the Jadot 2000 Chevalier-Montrachet les Demoiselles tasted alongside, this Montrachet might have greater long-term potential.

Jadot Dinner with Marc Dupin (Knightsbridge): Full golden yellow color. Full clean yellow fruit nose with oak hints. Wow, incredible depth and complexity. Sweet rich fruit and balanced acidity. Still young, but starting to drink well.
