Jadotfest 2023 (Noizé, London): A great colour, glinting light gold, almost as if just bottled. Smoke, vanilla and spice on the nose, citrus and a mild reduction. Classic white burgundy, couldn't be anything else - I could sniff this for hours frankly but time marches on. On the palate ridiculously youthful, the pristine cork looked eternal, this will go on for years. Totally delicious, sharp and spicy, a little unctuous, but overall a lovely balance of richesse and purity. All sorts of citrus going on but I settled on flavours of orange peel and lime. Crazy length finish persisting long after the wine is gone. This seemed so young, almost too young, but it's unfortunately not the kind of wine that most people, me included, are going to be able to buy a dozen of and watch evolve over many years. The only still white wine of the evening but my WOTN despite some serious competion. A massive treat to be able to taste.

Jadotfest 2023 (Noizé, London): Amazing nose. Screams top, top white Burgundy. Could sniff it for hours. Lime oil, a couple of ppm of passionfruit coulis, a couple of Stroopwafel crumbs. Such pedigree. Palate very youthful for its age but one senses it would be brilliant for many years to come. I don't drink enough Montrachet to be able to place it in the pantheon but this was one of the finest white wines I have tasted. Mine and the table's wine of the night

Annual Jadot (plus Dau) with Frederic Barnier (RPM Steak): 05/06/09 double blind. A powerhouse of a wine with massive fatty, fleshy fruit and good balancing acidity though not quite as precise as the blind 06 side-by-side. I guessed this to be the 2006. At peak now.

Louis Jadot (& Clair-Daü) Dinner with Frédéric Barnier (RPM Steak - Chicago IL): Blind in vertical. Powerful and still compact but with impressive concentration. This gets by on its sheer size and volume since it didn't come across as particularly brightened by acidity, even if nicely minerally. I will err on drinking my remaining bottles over the next few year vs cellaring long-term.

Drank with Faaf. Fantastic rich but not heavy Montrachet.
