I don’t know if it was the temperature or air time by the time we tasted this, but WOW, this is ready to go with ample fruit in the form of lemon custard, smoked gun flint (not reductive but almost creme brûlée, burnt scents) orange blossom and golden apple. Rich, delineated and mouth filling, even in this more classic, fresh-styled vintage. Grand Cru intensity to the aromas and flavors. There is almost a marmalade/super ripe peach/orange quality to the fruit that makes this a special bottle. Rich without the heaviness. 94-95.

Absolutely ageless, without a touch of development, and one of the better white burgundies I've tasted in the past year. Color, nose and flavor of a newer release. Very shut down on day 1 with the nose giving very little: yellow fruits, some tropical-like elements. Palate really shined with excellent acid/fruit balance, more near-tropical fruits, perfectly integrated oak. Oily, rich, but less so than other Batards, excellent now, this specific bottle has the structure to go another decade, at least. Day 2 was much more open, but barely budged. This could probably stay open for a week. Bravo

Very pale yellow color with slight greenish cast (like you often get with Chablis); classic apple, gravel minerality, touch of mint; hints of oak more noticed on palate (smoke, vanilla, mild notes of butterscotch; viscous, powerful; great balance and complexity with the acid seeming subtle and hidden though very much there when you think of it; hints of toffee and riper apple slowly emerge as the wine airs out and warms over time. Happy to have one more of these and will be in no hurry with it.

Shared this with Xavier94. His note is spot on but his score (which I wrote down at the time) was more a 95+. I concur with that assessment.

This bottle was starting to show some signs of premox, but it hadn't totally taken over yet.
